Student Council is organizing a fundraising drive to help support kids with Muscular Dystrophy beginning Friday, June 1. MDA, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, runs a Summer Camp in Blue Bell, PA during the month of June. All funds raised help to support the camp. You can donate $1 or $5 to the MDA’s Pin-Up program during lunch through Friday, June 8th. Pin-Ups will showcase students' names and be displayed outside of the cafeteria through September. Please see Mr. Hannan or Mr. Isselmann for additional information.
Project10, a philanthropic effort among our current sophomores, proved to be successful yet again this year. The Class of 2020 raised $2,122.75 for Philabundance! Their donations will go a long way to help reduce food insecurity in our communities. Throughout an outstanding and memorable 11-year period, MNHS sophomores have raised $34,772 for various charities! In addition, more than 1700 random acts of kindness have been performed through our BeKind campaign. We encourage all students to continue spreading kindness not only in our community, but beyond its boundaries, too. Finally, the annoucement for which everyone has waited breathlessly thorughout the previous 24 hours: the winner of field day events by a slim margin of one point was the Dark Green Team! Congratulations to all Project10 participants! And, a special shout out goes to Mr. Tabar for racing on the slip ‘n slide!

Did you know library books can be signed-out during summer recess? Books signed-out from June 4 onward will not be due until September 14. Sign-out a book from the summer reading list or any books you have desired to read, but haven’t had the time. Need suggestions? Mrs. Pino is always happy to help. Books signed-out before June 4 need to be returned to the library before summer recess. As an aside, the library will be closed after school for the remainder of the school year.
Congratulations to MNHS Baseball for winning the PIAA 5A State Championship! The accomplishment is the first of its kind in the long and celebrated history of our baseball program. Moreover, MNHS has become the first high school in Delaware County to win a baseball state championship. The team concluded the season with a 25-2 record and arrived home to a contingent of parents and students eager to share in their success.
