Marple Newtown High School Digital Collections

The Marple Newtown School District has teamed with the Pennsylvania State Library and the Internet Archive to digitize Marple Newtown High School’s extensive collection of yearbooks and historic documents. The district’s new Digital Collections page will allow all members of the school community to learn more about the high school’s rich history. The MNHS Library currently has one copy of every yearbook, but we encourage donations of any other MNHS related documents, pamphlets, programs, newspapers, magazines or books from personal collections. Please contact Michael Karpyn at mkarpyn@mnsd.org or Jackie Pino at jpino@mnsd.org if you would like to make a donation.

The Digital Collection is located on the District and High School web sites or by clicking here

Kirsten Lipsky Receives Scholarship by The Delaware Valley Engineers

On Tuesday March 28th 2017, The Marple Newtown School Board will recognize fellow Marple Newtown High School student Kirsten Lipsky for being a recipient of a $1,000 scholarship by The Delaware Valley Engineers. To be considered for the scholarship, Kirsten had to submit her academic information as well as write an essay that was reviewed by The Delaware Valley Engineers Scholarship Committee. After being notified that she would be one of three  recipients, a dinner was held in Philadelphia at Dave & Buster’s, where Kirsten was honored and presented with a $1,000 check in front of her peers and over 100 members of the local engineering community. Kirsten has already received an acceptance letter from The University of Pittsburgh and is waiting to hear from Princeton University, Carnegie Mellon and Drexel University.
