5th Grade Class Trip -- Our 5th graders will be going on their class trip to Philadelphia on Friday, May 2. Students need to be at Culbertson by 8:50 AM and are expected to return to Culbertson by 2:30 PM. All students will also need a bag lunch and a drink.
P.T.O. meeting -- Our next P.T.O. meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 8:00. Please note the time change.
4th Grade Trip to the Octagonal Schoolhouse -- Our 4th grade students will visit the Octagonal Schoolhouse on either Monday, May 5, Tuesday, May 6 or Wednesday, May 7.
CULBERTSON’S 50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY -- We are gearing up for Culbertson’s 50 Year Celebration and are looking for volunteers to help with the planning. Anyone interested please contact Kate Keith at catharinekeith@mac.com . Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 7:30 PM in the cafeteria before the PTO meeting.
1st Grade Trip -- Our 1st grade students will take a trip to Milky Way Farms on Thursday, May 8.
Return calendars for April's "Families and Reading Month" -- If you and your child participated in "Families and Reading Month" during April, please sign and return your calendars to the library by May 9. Your child will receive a certificate acknowledging his or her accomplishment
Please Donate Canned Food -- Our school is helping Campbell’s Soup Company and the United States Postal Service with the “Stamp Out Hunger” program. Please donate canned goods. The program runs until May 9. Students who bring in canned goods the week of May 5 will receive an ice cream pass courtesy of Campbell’s Soup Company.
3rd Grade Field Trip -- Mrs. DeRosa’s, Mrs. Cummings’ and Mrs. Savchuck’s classes will go on a field trip to Tyler Arboretum on Monday, May 12 at 9:30.
Evening of the Arts -- We will celebrate an Evening of the Arts with displays of student writing and art work beginning at 7:30 on Thursday, May 15. The fifth grade will present the Spring Concert at 7:30. All parents and students are invited.
Market Day -- Orders are due back to school by Wednesday, May 14. Pick-up will be Wednesday,
May 21 from 7:00 to 8:00 in the cafeteria. If you have any questions please call Bea Colangelo at 610-325-3111. Thank you to all who support this great fundraiser!
5th Grade – Paxon Hollow -- On Monday, May 19 our 5th grade will visit Paxon Hollow Middle School for orientation from 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Play-a-Thon and Community Yard Sale were a great success! We grossed over $13,000 and we're still not done accounting for everything. Thanks to everyone for all their support and hard work! It was an event enjoyed by all. Look for more details next week.

LOST: One long basket. Last seen in the cafeteria late Friday night. It contained napkins, paper towels and such. It has great sentimental value. Pretzel Sale and Spirit Items -- Pretzels will be sold Friday after school at 3:30 for $1.00. Spirit Items will also be for sale. These include soft footballs for $3.00, dog tags for $2.00 and rubber bracelets for $1.00.
