  4. Flat Stanley Project  Students make a paper Flat Stanley and mail it, along with a blank journal, to someone on the "List of Participants." The recipient treats the visiting Stanley as a guest and takes it places. After a few weeks Stanley is mailed back with a completed journal and perhaps some photographs, post cards, and souvenirs. Having your class on the list means others might send a Stanley to you, too!

    1. Idiom Dictionary Learn the meanings of dozens of idioms. Idioms are expressions that cannot be understood literally or by the individual meanings of the words. For example, if it's "raining cats and dogs" it means it's raining heavily. Cats and dogs are not actually falling from the sky!

Native Americans
