  • September 8 -- Back to School!

Elementary Report Cards -- This past year, the District piloted a 3-marking period standards-based report card, which was accompanied by 3 progress reports throughout the school year. We would like to know whether you preferred this format, or the prior 4-marking period format with no progress reports. Please complete the following brief survey to let us know your thoughts.  << Elementary Report Card Survey >>

Summer Reading Lists Available!   The 2009 Summer Reading lists for elementary students are available here!

Summer Math Packets -- Standardized Summer Math Packets were distributed to all students entering first through sixth grades. Students who work on their math skills over the summer are more prepared for the new school year. Please use the following guildelines to help your child through the summer.  Copies of the math packets, answers keys, and other helpful tools can be found here:  http://www.mnsd.net/math

Principal for a Day, Eddie Ebert! Edie Ebert was the proud winner of a Fun Fair raffle making him Principal for a Day! Mr. Ebert enjoyed lunch in the faculty lounge, and spent the day on many administrative jobs, such as announcing the fire drill.  He allowed his second grade classmates to have an extra recess, but declined to give the office staff a day off!  Obviously a born leader!

Help Wanted -- No Experience Necessary! --Looking for some fun, easy ways to get involved at Loomis? Your PTO has many opportunities for families to participate in the many activities that take place over the year.  Many of the opportunities require only a few hours of work for a whole year. (Click here to see how you can help!)

Important Announcement about new Immunization Requirements! The Pennsylvania Department of Health has revised the immunization requirements for all children for the 2009-2010 school year. Attached is an informational flyer for families to review with their health care professional
