SENIOR PROJECT |
Three Full Weeks |
1.0 credit |
Grade 12 |
A study project is required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is a mandated graduation requirement for the Marple Newtown School District. The purpose of the Senior Project is to provide the student with a practical learning situation and an invaluable opportunity to utilize the knowledge and skills acquired over the course of the education process in a “real world” application. The project relates to life outside the classroom in a genuine way and is a direct, practical application of the student’s abilities. It is an individual project in which the student chooses, plans, develops and directs the project’s success by piloting the project and taking charge of the educational experience.
