Help Wanted
No Experience Necessary

The Loomis Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) needs your help.  As we are coming to a close of this school year, we are already planning activities for next year.  We have several PTO positions open for the 2009-2010 school year.  Please take a minute to look over the list below and see where you can volunteer your time and talents.  No experience is necessary and the PTO will provide you with all the information and support you will need to get the job done.  Also, positions can be shared with a friend or friends.  Getting involved in the PTO is a great way to get to know other parents, teachers and staff.  Your dedication to our school will make it an even better place for our children to learn and grow. 

The following positions need to be filled by start of school in September 2009:
Helping Hands Volunteer:  This position entails organizing several different programs such as UNICEF, the Hat and Mitten Tree (a flyer is sent home to our families asking to donate a hat and/or mittens/gloves to decorate a tree in the lobby during the holidays, those items are then donated to children in need) and other different charitable events that take place during the school year.  Any questions please contact Annette Irvello (610) 328-2650.
Pizza Bingo:Needs one person to assist and share the responsibilities of this position with the current volunteer, Jennifer Madden.  For information on this fun fundraiser call Jennifer at 484-422-8747.
School Spirit:This position entails decorating the school each holiday/change of season to make the lobby and entrances festive, warm and welcoming.  Please call Stephanie Downey at 610-359-8505 for more detailed information.
Spirit Wear:This position entails ordering our Loomis T-shirts, sweatshirts, gym shorts etc.  Please call Toni DeAngelis at 610-325-7730 for more information.

The following positions need volunteers to shadow the current volunteers to learn the position and take over for 2010-2011 school year:
Treasurer:  Sue Wolski will be the PTO  Treasurer  for the 2009-2010 school year, however  Sue’s daughter will be in 5th grade next year (2009-2010) and she will graduating from Loomis, therefore Sue’s position will be available for 2010-2011.  This is a chance for someone interested in being the PTO Treasurer to learn from Sue by shadowing her during this coming year and take over for the 2010-2011 school year.  Please contact Sue at 610-543-4555 for more detailed information.
Newsletter:Teresa Morris currently volunteers to handle the monthly newsletter that is sent home once a month in our Wednesday Communication folders.  Teresa will have a 5th grader this coming year and would like to have someone shadow her to learn the position and take over for the 2010-2011 school year.  Please contact Teresa at 610-325-8200 for more detailed information.
Caring Quilt:  Our current volunteer, Margaret McKelvey, will have a 5th grader this coming school year, therefore needing someone to shadow her to learn the duties of this position so they can take over for the 2010-2011 school year.  This position is currently shared with Mari Jo Gannon.  Please call either Mari Jo at 610-353-5221 or Margaret at 610-325-7541 for more detailed information.
Big Guy Breakfast:  This is a fun event held for our fathers/father figure to have breakfast with their student.  Our current volunteer, Margaret McKelvey, will have a 5th grader this coming school year, therefore needing someone to shadow her to learn the duties of this position so they can take over for the 2010-2011 school year.  Please call Margaret at 610-325-7541 for more detailed information.
