Our library provides a wide range of books, AV equipment, videos, computers/software and magazines to meet individual needs and interests. Through class and small group visits, students learn how to use the library’s resources and become acquainted with the variety of literature and resources available.
It is recommended that children select and read books independently at or below their instructional level. Our librarian is always willing to assist the students in their selections. Other things to know about our library.
- Permission to come to the library is given to students by individual teachers.

The library hours are 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. each day.

Students may check out books according to their teachers and librarian’s discretion.

Books are checked out for one week.

Books may be renewed three times. Each renewal is for one week. The students must bring the book to the library for renewal.

Books are due on the student’s next library class. If a class does not have library due to a holiday or assembly then their books are renewed for an extra week.

Students who do not return their library books when they are due may not check out new books.

Students are responsible for any materials that they sign out or use in the library. Payment or replacement must be made for materials that are lost or damaged.

Reference tools remain in the library. Reference tools needed for a special project may be checked out overnight.
Donating a book to the library on a child’s birthday is a treasured Loomis birthday tradition. There is a form available in the library for families who are interested in participating in this library program.
