Summer Math Packets

Standardized Summer Math Packets were distributed to all students entering first through sixth grades. Students who work on their math skills over the summer are more prepared for the new school year. Please use the following guildelines to help your child through the summer:

  • Students are required to complete and return the packet or complete the daily calendar ideas and activities.
  • Students are required to show all of their work.  Please have your child use loose leaf paper or you may want to get a copy book for your child.  Please write the page and problem numbers on.  Be sure to staple it to your child's packet.
  • A parent must sign the instruction sheet indicating that the child either did the problems themselves, or with parental support.  This information is helpful to the teachers in the fall.
  • Students must turn in the completed packet to their homeroom teacher on the first day of school.

It is recommended that parents help pace their children through the packets. It is best to designate a day(s) and time(s) weekly for your child to work on the summer packet.

Lost packets can be obtained, while supplies last, from room 110 at the Gauntlett Center.

Thank you for your support in helping our students maintain their math skills and be better prepared for an exciting and rewarding school year.
