Works Cited
MLA Bibliographic Style -- A Brief Guide
Click below for an interactive PowerPoint guide to creating
a works cited page. This presentation is designed to be a quick reference
guide to the MLA style of documenting sources in research papers. Your
"Works Cited" section should appear at the end of your paper
and works should be arranged alphabetically by the first word in each
entry. If the first word in an entry is The, A, or An, alphabetize by
the second word in that entry.
Entries should be double spaced. For further information
about types of entries not listed here, consult Joseph Gibaldi's MLA
Handbook for Writers of Research Papers. The call number for this handbook
in Paxon Hollow Library is R 808.027 MLA. You may also consult the official
web site of the Modern Language Association http://www.mla.org.
