Elementary Report Cards -- This past year, the District piloted a 3-marking period standards-based report card, which was accompanied by 3 progress reports throughout the school year. We would like to know whether you preferred this format, or the prior 4-marking period format with no progress reports. Please complete the following brief survey to let us know your thoughts. << Elementary Report Card Survey >>
Summer Math Packets -- Standardized Summer Math Packets were distributed to all students entering first through sixth grades. Students who work on their math skills over the summer are more prepared for the new school year. Please use the following guildelines to help your child through the summer. Copies of the math packets, answers keys, and other helpful tools can be found here: http://www.mnsd.net/math

Important Announcement about new Immunization Requirements! The Pennsylvania Department of Health has revised the immunization requirements for all children for the 2009-2010 school year. Attached is an informational flyer for families to review with their health care professional.
Important Reminders!
- When dropping off your student(s) in the morning, please be sure to pull up past the fence in the front of the building and not stop directly in front of the school, which is our active bus lane.
- We realize that homework assignments and personal items are sometimes forgotten during the dismissal process and students, or parents, must return to school to retrieve them. Please understand that if it is after 4:15 pm when your student realizes something was left at school, it will be too late to attempt to pick the items up. Your cooperation with Worrall’s security and cleaning efforts is appreciated.
- Please understand that while the elementary handbook explains that a student is not documented as late to school until 9:00, instruction does begin at 8:50. We certainly understand there will circumstances that warrant students arriving to school late or between 8:50-9:00, but the planned arrival time to school should be by 8:50 to avoid missing and/or interrupting instruction. Additionally, if you’re your student does report to school after 9:00, be sure he or she brings a note that explains the reason for being late. Thank you for your cooperation.
