The Marple Newtown School District Food Service Department is happy to announce that the USDA has extended nationwide waivers to continue the Seamless Summer Option through the end of 2020.

This extension means that we are able to provide FREE breakfast and lunch to all students enrolled in our district and anyone 18 years old and younger that live in their household. 


Starting September 8th, Meal Distribution Pick-up service will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.


  • Elementary School Pick Up

Meal pick-up will be at Russell Elementary.  Please form a car line in the front of the building by the main doors. 


  • Middle School Pick Up

Meal pick-up will be at Paxon Middle School.  Please form a car line around the side of the school by the cafeteria doors.


  • High School Pick Up

Meal pick up will be at Marple Newtown High School. Please form a car line around the backside of the school by the loading dock. 


MNSD Cafeteria employees will be on location to assist you.  Families that have children in different schools can pick up at the location of their choice; please specify ONE location on the form.

(Q) My students do not qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch, am I still eligible for the free meal pick up?  Yes, the USDA waiver extensions includes everyone, regardless of lunch status.

(Q) I have children at home who are not in school yet. Are they eligible for the free meal pick up? Yes, all students enrolled in MNSD as well as anyone 18 years old and younger that live in their household are eligible.

(Q) Do I need to pay for the meals? No, the meals that are distributed are provided at no cost.

 (Q) Where and when do I pick up the meals? The meal pickup location will be at Russell Elementary, Paxon Hollow Middle School and Marple Newtown High School. A completed meal pick up form (see link above) is required in order to receive meals.


(Q) What will be in the bags? Tuesday pick up will include 2 Breakfasts and 2 Lunches and Thursday pick up will include 3 Breakfasts and 3 Lunches.


(Q) How long will this program last and will I be charged for these meals at a later time? According to the USDA’s announcement, this program should last until the end of 2020 or until funding runs out. You will be notified if there are changes to this program. You will not be charged for any meals picked up.

(Q) Does my child/student need to be with me at the time of pick up? No, parents/guardians can pick up the meals without the child or student present.
